Although its surface features consist of beautiful rock outcroppings, ponderosa pine forests, and an amazing diversity of flora and fauna, its significance is Jewel Cave. With over 200 miles of mapped and surveyed passages, this national monument is home to the third longest cave in the world.

Black Hills Caverns offers guided cave tours for visitors to enjoy the beautiful underground cave and its larger rooms. The Adventure Tour shows of 20+ different cave formations while on your 3/4 miles underground hike through the beautiful caverns. We also offer our Crystal Tour, which is an easier guided tour of our main-level for those that would not be able to enjoy the full 3/4 Mile Tour. There are fun activities for the kids with gemstone panning and for the kiddos five and under, we have a FREE Crystal Mine for them to find and keep their favorite Crystals.
